To Manu my New Cal’s son… I came to New Cal an adventure to rediscorver surfing and basically chill out… based on the recommendation of a frenchman. Now that’s a worry in itself !!! (sorry Patrick)
There is no doubt we have been priviledged to be your first guests. Each of the 10 days just got better. The ocean produced swell every day, the spear fishing incredible, mud crab heaven delivered her angels, the chefs performed cuisine a la française everynight, amazing lobster, parrot fish, deer … even the French wine was bloody good. Perhaps what made the experience so memorable, was the Caledonian spirit, the laughter, the friendliness (even the dolphins smile here !).
The crew… Rods, Doc, Renaud, Totof, Tyrioul and the « Beach groms »…and their passion to establish a name in surfing for New Caledonia !
Those that follow will also be the lucky ones. I have no doubts

A Manu, Totof, Renaud, Doc, Tyrioul, Rodrigue, Isaac, Antoine, Darren + tous les autres… Bières et vagues partagées entre pluie et soleil.
Vue du récif dans un tube liquide, je vous vois tous encore glisser sur cette vague ; l’eau tellement claire et brillante qu’on voit au fond les petits poissons ; belle mer- grande terre- bon air et bonheur en Calédonie. Tout ce qu’il faut pour une vie au paradis.
Merci d’avoir partager votre façon de vivre avec moi. Trois semaines, des belles vagues parfaites, des sourires, de la musique, des feux : «Good vibes all around », un rêve dès le premier jour.
Bonne chance avec Nëkwéta, keep the stoke, la mer est notre mère. A la prochaine!
MANU DE Lifou
Un terrain magnifique, un patron plein de génie et de créativité qui a su rendre cet endroit paradisiaque et calme… si calme qu’il fait bon de s’y reposer ! Des vagues rapides (en tout cas bien assez pour moi !) et des surfeur locaux sympa avec qui le surf est à nouveau un jeu partagé dans la bonne humeur et l’accueil chaleureux.
Bien plus qu’une simple base pour surfer, Nëkwéta est un lieu plein de charme, plein de joie, plein de spot dans la simplicité et la convivialité.
Merci Manu pour ces si bons moments.

Nëkwéta is a perfect set up, confort in paradise. We were well looked after nothing was to much trouble for our Manu. Friendly locals, tasty food, good wine, great waves and lots of fish. We will be back I’m sure.

Manu when you told me the translation of Nëkwéta it all made sense. A town and surf camp based around knowledge and respect for environment and it’s waves. The hospitality and findness from Manu and his brother was the warmest I’ve ever felt in a different country. If for some odd reason there was no surf there were plenty of activities to keep yourself busy. No better place to kickback and reflect on the past and the present knowing life just doesn’t get any better than Nëkwéta. Thank you so much. See you soon! Sincerely.
